The Ins And Outs of How We Do Business

What is "eco-friendly?"Our definition of "eco-friendly" involves the practices and products used by our company to promote a better environment and a healthier environment. Green cleaning solutions don’t contain ozone depleting chemicals or flammable substances that can irritate the skin and cause respiratory illnesses. Nighttide Cleaning Co. strives to use the most appropriate methods for each service with our wide range of products made by us, for you. We don't use harsh chemicals in our products, and they are completely safe for your home and your health. In order to protect the environment, we utilize microfiber bamboo cloths during our services, rather than paper (except for use on toilets). Not only is this practice better for the environment, microfiber picks up 99% of bacteria.

What is your service coverage area?Nighttide Cleaning Co. was founded in Morrill, Maine, and we service the surrounding areas, including Camden, Belfast, Belmont, Brooks, Frankfort, Lincolnville, Monroe, Morrill, Northport, Rockport, Rockland, Searsmont, Searsport, Stockon Springs, Swanville, Waldo, and Winterport. If you don't see your town, contact us! We're always expanding!

Do you have insurance?Yes, we are fully insured and bonded!

How do I schedule a consultation?Fill out the form at the bottom of the Home Screen and we will be in touch.

What are your rates?Our cleans are completely customized to individual business's cleaning needs. Prices are based off many factors and are tailored to your business.

How often can you provide service?Due to our booked schedule, we can only provide services for businesses in the late afternoons/evenings/afterhours on a daily, weekly or bi-weekly basis. The earliest start time for businesses is 3pm. The latest start time can be negotiated based on the business's closing time.

What do you NOT clean?To ensure we provide the space with the highest quality of care, for businesses, we do not do: Exterior window washing Organize or reshelve any merchandise

What if I need to reschedule a service?Nighttide Cleaning Co. understands how unpredictable life can be. If you need to cancel or reschedule a cleaning, we recommend that you contact us 24 hours before your next scheduled service. In most cases, a cancelation is eminent due to our booked schedule, however, we may be able to move your clean to a different day that week if there are openings.

Do you bring your own supplies, products, and equipment?Yes! We provide everything required to clean the commercial property. We bring rags, our natural cleaning products made by us as well as industry standard cleaning products when required and all tools and equipment! If the business has tools and products on hand that is preferred, we are happy to use those as we are fully insured.

How do we pay?For businesses: payment can be arranged in advance weekly, bi-weekly or even monthly on a day of your choosing. Please contact us for more details.

Do you accept tips?While tips aren’t expected, we are allowed to accept them. Some of our clients prefer to tip a little at the end of each service while others provide a large tip at the end of the year. You can also leave a review on our website or Facebook page. We love hearing that our work is appreciated.

Do you allow pets in the home while cleaning?We are happy to announce that we are a pet friendly company! If there are any special instructions to work around your pet, please let our cleaning crew know and we will be happy to accommodate.

How often can you provide service?Due to our booked schedule, we can only provide services for residential properties in the mornings into the early afternoons on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. The earliest start time is 8am. The latest start time is 11am.

How do I pay?For homes: payments are due on the day of your scheduled service. Most of our valued customers leave cash or a check on the kitchen counter, but we also accept credit card payments for your convenience through Venmo. If you do choose to write us a check, please make it payable to Nighttide Cleaning Co.

What do you NOT clean?To ensure we provide the space with the highest quality of care, for homes, we do not do: Exterior window washing Clean inside oven (can be requested for additional fee) Clean inside refrigerator (can be requested for additional fee) Clean inside cabinets or closets Clean garages Clean inside fireplaces Clean unfinished basements Clean children's toys/organize children's rooms Do laundry (duration of a clean doesn't allow for this feature) Pet toys/litter boxes/crates

What is my "initial clean," and why is it more expensive than my foregoing services?Your initial clean is set after the acceptance of your quote. The first cleaning brings a home up to a specific standard that Nighttide Cleaning Co. is committed to uphold. That’s why our initial cleaning may take longer.

Do I need to be home during my cleaning service?No. Most of our clients prefer to be out of the house while we clean. This ensures we're not in each other's way and our cleaning team can clean efficiently without distraction. In a majority of these cases, we are left a spare key or code for the door.

When will the team arrive?If you're scheduled for the morning clean, the team will arrive at the scheduled time or approximately 10 minutes before. However, for the afternoon clean, the team may arrive within a half hour before or after the scheduled time, depending on how long the morning clean keeps the team and travel time.

What should I do before the team arrives?To ensure maximum efficiency, we ask that you pick up any toys, clothing or dishes before we arrive. We also ask that you find a place for your pets if they need to be separated from us so they’re comfortable while we clean.
